Strategy Analyst International Broadcaster

Based London £35-£40k plus bonus and blue-chip benefits

The Business

Our client is world leading media giant present in over 200 countries. It has a portfolio of 20 television brands complemented by leading content, production, sports, scripted series, digital media services and movies.

The Team

The Strategy team reports directly to the Chief Operating Officer and supports the board by driving the strategy for the international business. The team also works on specific projects supporting cross-functional initiatives by region and country.

The Role:


• Three to five year strategy & vision
• Channel and portfolio analysis
• Global ad-sales strategy
• Sports investment strategy
• Competitor and market reviews to support organic investment or M&A

Specific Responsibilities Include

• Being creative with strategic thinking on projects and challenging existing perceptions

• Build scenario-driven models
• Support M&A transactions
• Use creativity to consider analytical problems from a range of angles
• Liaise with regional and/or central teams to collate and verify data and information
• Sourcing international market data and conducting independent research

The Candidate
 

Ideally you will have one to three years’ experience in a top tier management consultancy or blue chip commercial business. You will have a minimum 2.1 degree from a red brick university and have strong presentation, strategic and analytical skills. Additional languages are beneficial but are not essential.

Strategy Consultant

London, £40-£50k plus Bonus

Are you a strategy consultant with an interest in TV, Sports & Entertainment?

This is a unique opportunity to join a boutique strategy consultancy who advise at board level within the media, sports & entertainment sectors. With an enviable client list that includes PE firms, assignments vary from high-level corporate strategy/M&A advice through to commercial exploitation, regulation and sports rights, projects typically being short and intense. They are now looking for a Consultant who will have responsibility for leading others on project delivery, producing both analysis and output via thorough and thoughtful research. This is an exciting opportunity in a small team where you will be given autonomy, a high level of client interaction and opportunity for career development.

They require someone with a high level of academic achievement - 2:1 or first class degree (or equivalent) from a leading University, approx 2-4 yrs experience in strategy (consulting or corporate) who has an interest in the media/entertainment industry (project experience would be beneficial however not mandatory as they will consider candidates with a strong strategic background and a passion for the sector). Although a consultancy role, travel is limited and working hours not excessive.

You must hold the relevant visa/passport to work in the UK as sponsorship will not be provided. Preference is for candidates already based in the UK.

Senior Consultant- Financial Services

About the Role

As a Senior Consultant, you will be responsible for:

  • Project managing  multi-client, multi-country benchmarking programmes to ensure that they are delivered to time and high quality;

  • Overseeing and constructing client deliverables to ensure the highest possible quality, including insightful client key findings reports and quantified recommendations;

  • Line managing a team of analysts with responsibility for recruiting, coaching, developing and improving the team’s individual and collective performance;

  • Managing key client relationships throughout and beyond the benchmarking cycle to ensure maximum satisfaction and relationship development;

  • Presenting results to clients and disseminating key messages amongst key audiences and stakeholders;

  • Planning for client workshops, preparing relevant materials, delivering / facilitating and creating the action report or other follow up deliverables

  • Developing and managing the development of thought leadership research articles, covering retail banking best practices, industry trends and insights;

  • Successfully developing new business in terms of recruiting benchmarking peer groups, developing new markets and / or launching new products

  • Providing input to and leading the implementation of key company improvement initiatives, such as development of new products.

    You will be based in London but will have the opportunity to visit clients across Europe (note, this role does not involve long periods working on a single client site).

    Candidate requirements

    You will ideally have a background in consultancy, strategy and/or research, with exposure to, or an interest in, banking and/or insurance. 

    You should be able to demonstrate excellent line, project and client management experience and will have first-class analytical and consulting skills, plus a customer service ethos and superb inter-personal skills.

    You should have a good degree from a top tier university and/or an MBA from a leading business school. Career prospects both internationally and in the UK are superb.
